Julia Downing

Julia Downing, Ph.D. is a Senior Technology Development Scientist at NanoGraf Corporation. Previously, Julia was a Doctoral Student at Northwestern University, focusing on scalable manufacturing of graphene nanocomposites for electronic devices. Julia also has experience as an R&D Intern at 3M and as a Team Project Manager at University of Maryland, where Julia optimized cellulose nanopaper for electronics. Julia was an Undergraduate Researcher in the Department of Aerospace Engineering and a Visiting Researcher at Kyoto University. Julia holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern University and a BS in Materials Science and Engineering from University of Maryland.
