Aliakbar Eski has extensive experience in software development and embedded systems. Aliakbar is currently the Director of Software Development at Nanoleaf, where they are responsible for designing software architecture for smart home products and ensuring high-quality code. Aliakbar previously served as the Embedded Software Team Lead and System Architect at Nanoleaf, where they contributed to product design, developed communication protocols, and worked on API integrations. Before joining Nanoleaf, Aliakbar worked as an Embedded Systems and Firmware Developer, focusing on research and development of lighting connected products. Aliakbar also had roles as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Student at the University of Toronto and held leadership positions at the IEEE.

Aliakbar Eski obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani in 2013. Later, in 2014, they pursued a Masters of Engineering degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto. In 2013, they also completed the course "Fundamentals of Audio and Music Engineering: Part 1 Musical Sound & Electronics" offered by Coursera.
