Montserrat Cano Biosca

Montserrat Cano Biosca has a wealth of experience in various roles within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Montserrat is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Nanoligent since February 2020. Prior to that, they worked as the Chief Scientific Officer and Clinical Development at 8wires, Data-driven Digital Studio from February 2019 to February 2020. Montserrat also held the position of Senior Project Manager at Spherium Biomed from January 2014 to January 2019.

Before their time at Spherium Biomed, Montserrat worked at Ferrer, starting as a Group Leader Medicinal Chemistry from April 2002 to December 2007. Montserrat's career began at GlaxoSmithKline, where they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate from January 2000 to January 2002. Montserrat Cano Biosca has a diverse education history. Montserrat obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations from EAE Business School in 2019-2020. Montserrat also pursued Project Management at La Salle BCN in 2008. Earlier, Montserrat attended Universitat de Barcelona from 1989 to 1994, where they earned a degree in Chemistry, specializing in Organic Chemistry. Montserrat further pursued their studies at the same university and obtained an MSc degree in Chemistry from 1994 to 1995. Montserrat then pursued a Master's degree in Solid Phase Organic Chemistry at the University of California, Davis from 1998 to 1999. Additionally, they obtained a Biochemistry Degree from Universitat de Barcelona from 2005 to 2007. Lastly, they completed their education journey by specializing in Organic Chemistry and obtaining a PhD in Chemistry from the Institute for Advanced Chemistry of Catalounia IQAC-CSIC from 1995 to 1999.
