Wayne Best

Wayne Best is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the fields of chemistry and biotechnology. Wayne is currently serving as the Executive Chairman of Nanollose Ltd, a position held since September 2014, following a role as Non-Executive Chairman. As a founding member, Wayne contributed significantly to Epichem, serving as Managing Director from 2003 to 2018 and later as Chairman until 2020. In addition, Wayne has held directorships with PharmAust Ltd and served as WA Branch Chair for AusBiotech. Wayne's earlier career includes positions as Principal Research Chemist at ChemCentre and Research Fellow at The University of Western Australia, as well as a Senior Research Scientist at the ICI Research Group. Wayne's educational background includes a PhD in Organic Chemistry from The University of Western Australia, along with postdoctoral work and advanced degrees from The Australian National University and Imperial College London.
