Gaurav Goyal, Ph.D.

Gaurav Goyal, Ph.D., has a diverse work experience spanning various research and development roles in the fields of nanotechnology and biochemistry. Gaurav is currently working as a Scientific Business Development Manager at Nanolyze, a position they started in August 2022.

Prior to their current role, Goyal was a Researcher at Chalmers University of Technology from August 2018 to August 2022, where they were involved in research activities. Before that, they worked as a Research Scientist at QUANTUM BIOSYSTEMS USA, INC. from December 2015 to August 2018, focusing on research in the field of biosystems.

Goyal also has an academic background, having served as a Grad Research Assistant at Drexel University from September 2011 to December 2015. Gaurav'sresearch during this time focused on the fabrication of solid-state nanopores and their applications in single-molecule sensing of proteins and DNA. Gaurav also worked as a Grad Research Assistant at Drexel University from August 2010 to August 2011, where they conducted research related to neural tissue inflammation around neural implants.

In addition, Goyal has gained international research experience as a Visiting Researcher at the National NanoFab Center, KAIST, and as a Visiting Researcher/Consultant at the Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology (KRIBB) in 2014. Gaurav has also worked as a Grad Research Assistant at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) from February 2007 to January 2010, where their work involved the design and fabrication of MEMS devices for culturing neurons.

Goyal's earlier experiences include interning at the National Dairy Research Institute in 2004 and at the Central Scientific Instruments Organization in 2003.

Gaurav Goyal, Ph.D. completed their education in a variety of fields. In 2006, they earned a B.Tech degree in Biotechnology Engineering from Kurukshetra University. Following this, they pursued an MS degree in Bio Engineering at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology from 2007 to 2009. In 2010, they obtained a Diploma in Mechanical CAD (AUTOCAD and ProE) from CADD CENTRE INDIA PVT. LTD.

From 2010 to 2015, Gaurav Goyal attended Drexel University, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical Engineering. During their time at Drexel University, they also received a Certification in Business Foundations from The Wharton School in 2014-2015.

In terms of additional certifications, Gaurav Goyal obtained a Certificate in Clinical and Translational Research from the National Institutes of Health in 2013. In the same year, they became a Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer (CLAD) through National Instruments. Prior to this, in 2007, they completed a certification in Basic semiconductor processing technology from the National Nanofab Center, KAIST.
