System Engineer at Nanometrics Inc

Frank Joris started their work experience in 2009 as a Field Assistant at Western University. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as an Intern Geophysicist at Sander Geophysics Ltd. In 2013, they were a Hiwi Geophysicist at IFM-GEOMAR, where they conducted research on seafloor mineral deposits and presented findings to international clients. From 2004 to 2015, they served as a Foreman at J&D Baer Inc. In 2015, they joined both Nanometrics Seismic Monitoring Solutions and Quantec Geoscience Ltd. At Nanometrics, they held multiple roles including Installation Technician, Team Lead for Oil and Gas Field Operations, Senior Field Engineer, and currently, System Engineer. At Quantec Geoscience, they were a Geophysical Operator for a short period.

Frank Joris attended Western University and obtained a Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Geophysics. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including Baer Awareness from Enform, Confined Space Awareness from LaborTek, General Hazard Assessment from Integrated Safety Solutions, Fall Arrest from LaborTek, Ground Disturbance for Supervisors 201 from Alberta Common Ground Alliance (ABCGA), H2S Alive from Enform, Vehicle Collision Avoidance from CAE, Widerness First Aid from the Canadian Red Cross, and WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) certification in February 2016.
