Christian Dietrich has a long and varied work experience, beginning in 2010. That year, they interned at ConocoPhillips and at the Max Rubner-Institut für Sicherheit und Qualität bei Milch und Fisch, where they worked as an intern in Milk Analytics. In 2011, they became a Werkstudent at FUCHS Europe Schmierstoffe GmbH and a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter at Nanotechnology & Catalysis Research Centre (NANOCAT). In 2013, they were a Studentische Hilfskraft at NEXT ENERGY EWE-Forschungszentrum für Energietechnologie e. V. and a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter at Justus-Liebig-Universität Giessen, where they worked on a PhD thesis with Prof. Jürgen Janek and developed All-Solid-State Batteries (ASSB) and sulfide-based solid electrolytes within the BASF International Newtwork for Batteries and Electrochemistry. From 2018 to 2022, Christian Dietrich worked as a Specialist Battery Cell Technology at Volkswagen AG and is currently the Director Business Development at Nanoramic Laboratories.
Christian Dietrich obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Kiel University in 2011, followed by a Master of Science in Chemistry from the same university in 2014. Christian then went on to earn a Doktor (Ph.D.) in Physical Chemistry from Justus Liebig University Giessen in 2018. Christian also holds certifications from the Workshop: German-Israeli Battery School (2017), the Workshop: 649. WE-Heraeus-Seminar on 'In-operando characterization of energy materials' from the Wilhelm und Else Heraeus-Stiftung (2017), and the Workshop: XPS Analysis : from measurements to scientific answers from the CNRS - Centre national de la recherche scientifique (2016).
