Michelle Patkin Nehrer

Michelle Patkin Nehrer began their work experience in 2012 as an Intern at Temple University. In 2013, they served as an Undergraduate Summer Fellow at Fox Chase Cancer Center, where they worked with Western Blot protein procedures. In 2014, Michelle worked as a Research Intern in the Orthopaedic Mechanobiology Lab at the University of Maryland. Michelle then worked as an Analytical Biotechnology Intern at MedImmune, where they developed potency assays using SPR Technology. In the same year, they also worked as a Research Intern in the MEMS Sensors and Actuators Lab at the University of Maryland, where they assisted in the design of a Lab-on-chip device. From 2015 to 2017, Michelle was an M.Sc Student in the Single Molecule Bio-physics and Bio-nano-technology Lab at Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, where they worked on their Masters thesis involving the development of a single molecule barcoding method. In 2018, they joined Tiselia as an R&D Scientist, focusing on developing an electrophoresis-based biosensing platform. Most recently, Michelle has been working at Nanosynex since 2019, serving as a Biotechnology Systems Engineer and currently as a Program Manager and Senior Systems Engineer.

Michelle Patkin Nehrer earned their Master's Degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, from the period of 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Bioengineering from the University of Maryland, between 2011 and 2015. In 2016, they also received a certification as a Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer from the National Instruments.
