Jennifer Chapman Varela, PhD, currently serves as Battery Project Manager at Nanotech Energy, where responsibilities include overseeing R&D battery staff and project development under stage gate management. Previously, as a Senior Battery Scientist, Jennifer focused on designing innovative electrolyte formulations and establishing quality control parameters for lithium-ion batteries. At Boston University, research contributions as a Research Scientist involved creating environmentally friendly supercapacitors and batteries, along with mentoring students during doctoral studies. Jennifer also led a collaborative project at Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology while managing communication between parties. Jennifer gained early experience as a volunteer instructor in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and previously supervised office operations at R&V Refrigeration, Inc. Educational accomplishments include a PhD in Organic Chemistry from Boston University and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Saint Mary's College of California.
