Dov Caspi

Head of research engineering at Nanox AI

Dov Caspi has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Dov began their career at ioimage, where they developed streaming servers and client applications for video streaming. Dov then joined Samsung as a team leader for the 3D Content and Tools team, where they developed 3D engines and integrated JSR184 for the engine.

Afterwards, Dov worked at Lucid in the Advanced Technology Group, where they implemented C++ DirectX kernel and UMD level interception mechanisms for GPU load balancing systems. Following this, they joined AMD Israel as an SMTS OpenCL run-time developer, focusing on developing an OpenCL GPU hardware debugger and adding features to OpenGL and OpenCL kernel and user mode software stack.

Dov then worked at GameStudio972 as a self-employed developer, creating 3D game engines for Android and iPhone platforms. Dov also developed 3D content pipelines for Autodesk Maya and deployed their applications in major app stores.

Dov later joined Telmap - Intel Company as an OpenGL ES 3D Engine developer, specializing in developing 3D engines for GPS platforms and implementing visual features such as landmarks, traffic, and animated overlays.

Dov then joined Intel Corporation and worked in both the VPG Visual and Parallel Computing Group and the New Devices Group. In these roles, they developed mobile infrastructure, focusing on natural language processing and semantic analysis.

Dov also had two separate stints at Nanox AI, where they held the roles of Senior Research Engineer and Head of Research Engineering. In these positions, they contributed to the development of a GPU computation services system, implemented various software and hardware infrastructures, and managed research engineering teams.

Lastly, Dov worked at Citi as a Senior Research Engineer in the Data Science team, where they specialized in data analysis, aggregation, and predictive modeling using Spark Scala and Python. Dov also ported financial models from Python to Spark Scala and developed report applications using Python Pandas.

Throughout their career, Dov has demonstrated a strong background in software development, data analysis, machine learning, and GPU computation.

Dov Caspi attended Amal B Petach Tikva from 1990 to 1992, where they pursued a Practical Eng degree in Electronics. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications on Coursera, including "Custom Models, Layers, and Loss Functions with TensorFlow," "Natural Language Processing in TensorFlow," "Convolutional Neural Networks in TensorFlow," and "Introduction to TensorFlow for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning." These certifications were obtained in April and May 2022.
