Akshay Ramasubramanian began their work experience in 2014 as a Part Time Tutor at Value Education Tutoring Service. In 2015, they worked as an Electronic/Computer Engineer at Masis Audio, where they collaborated with Princeton University on audio technology. In 2016, they joined Ambi Labs as an Embedded Hardware & Software Engineer. In 2017, they worked as a Freelance Electronic Engineer for gobee.bike and later joined iSunCloud as a Software Engineer, where they developed various software solutions for video processing and face recognition. In 2018, they co-founded Locketry and served as the CTO, working on encryption protocols for the Ethereum blockchain. In the same year, they also founded Whalefolio, where they built a crypto wallet tracking solution and managed a team of developers. In 2019, they became a Senior Software Developer at OAX Foundation. Most recently, in 2020, they worked as a Software Architect at D5 - The Data Science DAO before starting their current position as a Senior Engineering Manager at Nansen.

Akshay Ramasubramanian completed their high school education at Gandhi Memorial International School, where they pursued the International Baccalaureate program from 2010 to 2012. Following this, they enrolled at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology from 2012 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering. During their time at the university, they also participated in an exchange program at the National University of Singapore in 2013, specifically in the School of Electrical Engineering.
