Jeffrey Lopata obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Penn State University, where they studied from 1981 to 1985. Following that, they pursued their Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Oklahoma, completing it in the years 1985 to 1988. Building upon their academic achievements, Jeffrey then went on to earn their PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma, a program they undertook from 1988 to 1992.
