Rinn Cleavelin

Manager Engineering Operations at Nantero

Rinn Cleavelin has a diverse work experience spanning several companies in various roles. In 1973, they began their career as an Assistant Professor of Physics at Texas Tech University, where they remained until 1977. Following this, they joined Texas Instruments, where they worked from 1977 to 2007, eventually retiring as a DMTS. In 1997, Cleavelin briefly served as the FEP Director at International Sematech before becoming the COO from 1999 to 2002. In 2008, they joined Nantero, Inc. as the Manager of Engineering Operations, focusing on the development of Carbon NanoTube (CNT) based memories. After a year, they moved to MEARS Technologies, Inc. as a Consultant and a Member of the Board of Directors, where they remained until 2016. Currently, since 2016, Cleavelin has been serving on the Board of Directors of Atomera Inc.

Rinn Cleavelin attended Putnam City High School from 1960 to 1961, but did not earn a degree or pursue a specific field of study during this time. After high school, Cleavelin enrolled at Texas Tech University in 1965 and completed their education there in 1973. Cleavelin earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Physics from Texas Tech University.
