David Hustace

David Hustace is Founder and Chief Visionary Officer of The OpenNMS Group, Inc., an open source network monitoring company. OpenNMS was acquired by NantHealth in 2020. As CEO of The OpenNMS Group, David helps guide the company’s 21st-century vision of a world where network monitoring just happens, assisting companies to reimagine their approach to network monitoring challenges with a reliable open source platform that performs at scale on-premises or in the cloud. Mr. Hustace retired from the military after 22 years of service as an Artillery officer and later in the Signal Corps of the Army National Guard, where he managed data centers and developed integration software for secure communications and logistical systems. Professionally, his career path in information technology focused on the network and systems monitoring field, where he quickly became a well-known and respected consultant for not only designing and implementing large-scale monitoring solutions in several of the world’s largest enterprises and telecommunications companies but also for sharing his knowledge and expertise in technical forums.
