Kian Peng Ong

Kian Peng Ong is an accomplished academic and creative professional with extensive experience in the fields of art, design, and media. Currently serving as an Adjunct Faculty and PhD Candidate at Nanyang Technological University Singapore since January 2022, Kian is also a Co-Founder of Supernormal.space, an independent art space committed to showcasing experimental works in Singapore. As a Design Singapore Associate since 2011, Kian has contributed to promoting Singaporean design through various initiatives. Additionally, Kian has held adjunct lecturer positions at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and LASALLE College of the Arts, focusing on disciplines such as new media and fine arts. Previous roles include Principal Designer at Modular Unit and freelance multimedia designer for various theatrical productions. Kian holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Art, Design, and Media from Nanyang Technological University, a Master of Fine Arts in Design from UCLA, and a Bachelor of Arts in Interactive Arts from LASALLE College of the Arts.
