Liang Jie Wong

Liang Jie Wong currently serves as the Deputy Director and Associate Professor (with Tenure) of the CN Yang Scholars Programme at Nanyang Technological University Singapore, where leadership includes a team of approximately 20 researchers and research efforts that have attracted over $4 million in funding, resulting in 4 patents and commercial licenses. As an elected member of the School Board, responsibilities entail advising on degree programs, research directions, and budget allocations. Additionally, Liang is an Associate Editor for the peer-reviewed journal Optics Express and previously held positions as a Senior Scientist and Scientist at the Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology, focusing on X-ray photonics projects in collaboration with prestigious institutions. Liang holds a PhD and an MS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a BS in the same field from the University of California, Berkeley.
