Saziye Yorulmaz Avsar

Saziye Yorulmaz Avsar is an accomplished professional with a strong background in materials science and engineering, currently serving as Founder-in-residence at the Singapore Deep-Tech Alliance since September 2023, focusing on scaling ClimateTech startups. Previously, Saziye held the position of Development Scientist at NANOVERY, where expertise was applied in developing DNA nanorobots for detecting biomarkers related to liver disease and prostate cancer. Saziye's research background includes a postdoctoral role at the University of Basel, contributing to projects on cancer-targeted nanoparticles and drug-screening platforms, and a PhD from Nanyang Technological University, resulting in multiple first-authored publications. Early experience includes a role as a Project Engineer at Bilkent University and significant research contributions during a graduate program.
