Alex Milliken

Alexander Milliken is an experienced policy and government affairs professional currently serving as the Director of Federal Affairs at the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations since May 2023. Prior to this role, Milliken worked as the Policy and Government Affairs Manager at the National Taxpayers Union and held multiple positions within the State of Maryland's government, including Deputy Director of Federal Relations and Policy Advisor to the Deputy Chief of Staff. Milliken has a background in the United States Senate, having worked as a Legislative Correspondent and Special Assistant under Senator John McCain. Additional experience includes roles in political campaigns and law firm administration. Milliken holds a degree in Non-Profit Leadership and Management from Arizona State University and an Associate of Science from Butte College.
