Eva Cancino

Eva Cancino, GISP has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Eva began their career as a GIS Intern at the U.S. Geological Survey in 2005. Following this, they joined the City of Naperville in 2005 and held several positions, including Engineering Technician in the Transportation, Engineering, and Development Group from 2006 to 2015. Eva then transitioned to the role of GIS Analyst in the Information Technology Department from 2015 to 2018. Eva was promoted to GIS Coordinator in 2018 and most recently served as the GIS and Enterprise Applications Manager, a position they have held since December 2020.

Eva Cancino, GISP, obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Geography, GIS from the University of South Florida from 2003 to 2005. In 2012 to 2013, they attended the College of DuPage, focusing on AutoCAD Civil 3D. Eva also studied GIS at Waubonsee Community College from 2005 to 2006. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification as a GISP (Geographic Information Systems Professional) from the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI) in April 2015. Prior to their university studies, Eva Cancino also pursued Geology/Earth Science at the University of Illinois Chicago from 2002 to 2003.
