Ken Doman

Ken Doman has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries.

Ken began their career in 2001 as a Plant Manager and Shipping & Receiving Clerk at Air Glacier, Inc., where they implemented process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency.

From 2002 to 2005, Ken worked as a Teacher at Jacksonville Independent School District, where they developed lesson plans and created a positive learning environment for students.

Ken then transitioned to roles at the City of Jacksonville, Texas, where they served as a GIS Coordinator and a Pretreatment Coordinator. Here, they established the city's GIS program using ESRI ArcGIS software and regulated wastewater from local businesses.

In 2010, Ken joined the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services as a Laboratory Technician, conducting tests on petroleum samples.

Ken later moved to the City of Plantation as an I.T. Database Developer, creating GIS web applications using ESRI software.

Ken then worked at Bruce Harris & Associates as a GIS Developer, developing web and desktop applications and implementing best practices in web projects.

In 2014, they authored the book "Mastering ArcGIS Server Development with JavaScript" and also served as a Technical Reviewer for Packt Publishing, focusing on ESRI and ArcGIS technologies.

From 2017 to 2019, Ken worked as a Senior Front-end Engineer at GEO Jobe GIS Consulting, where they maintained and improved web-based tools used by global clients.

Most recently, they joined Tech Mahindra in 2019 as an Associate Tech Specialist and is currently employed as a GIS Developer at the City of Naperville.

From 1992 to 1996, Ken Doman attended Jacksonville High School and obtained a High School Diploma.

From 1996 to 2001, Ken Doman enrolled at Rice University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with a major in Biology.

In addition to their formal education, Ken Doman has acquired several certifications:

- In February 2012, they received certification as a Web Application Developer Associate 10 from Esri.

- In November 2014, they completed a course on The Data Scientist's Toolbox through Coursera.

- In December 2014, Ken Doman obtained the ESRI MOOC - Going Places with Spatial Analysis certification from Udemy.

- In October 2016, they obtained the Front End Developer Certification from Free Code Camp.

- In May 2018, Ken Doman completed the JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures Projects certification through freeCodeCamp.

- In October 2018, they obtained the Google Analytics for Beginners certification from Google Analytics for Business.

- In August 2020, Ken Doman completed the Scientific Computing with Python certification through freeCodeCamp.

- In September 2020, they obtained the Data Visualization certification from freeCodeCamp.

- Finally, in December 2022, Ken Doman completed the Automate the Boring Stuff with Python Programming certification from Udemy.
