Matt Sands currently serves as the National Board President and Rocky Mountain Chapter President for the National Association of Royalty Owners since January 2021. Additionally, Matt has been the host of The Mineral Rights Podcast since June 2017, where the focus is on educating mineral rights and royalty owners. As Managing Member of Silverheels Investments LLC, established in December 2015, Matt provides mineral rights appraisal, valuation services, and consulting. Matt's previous experience at Shell Exploration & Production Company from June 1999 to November 2015 includes roles as Integrated Activity Planning Process Manager, Sr. Integrated Activity Planner, Sr. Facilities Engineer, Field Engineer, and Project Engineer, contributing significantly to various strategic business transformations and project management initiatives. Matt holds a BS in Engineering with a Mechanical Specialty from the Colorado School of Mines.
