Stephen Utlak, PhD has held a range of positions in the engineering field since 2006. Stephen began their career as a Co-op at Spirax Sarco in 2006, followed by a Contracted Design Engineer at Transport Logistics International in 2011. In 2013, they became a Design Authority Engineer at Savannah River Remediation LLC. In 2015, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of South Carolina. In 2019, they held the roles of Postdoctoral Research Associate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and Senior Software Engineer at Savannah River Nuclear Solutions. In 2020, they were a Faculty Research Affiliate at the University of South Carolina. Currently, they are the Director of Product Engineering at NarrativeWave, and has previously held the roles of Manager of Product Engineering, Lead Software Engineer, and Senior Software Engineer at the same company.
Stephen Utlak, PhD, began their educational journey in 2006 when they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Bioengineering from Clemson University. Stephen then went on to the University of South Carolina, where they earned a Master of Engineering (ME) in Nuclear Engineering in 2013, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nuclear Engineering in 2019.
