Adam Steltzner is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where Steltzner has served as Chief Engineer for the Mars Sample Return Program and the Mars 2020 Project since 2015. Additionally, Steltzner holds the title of JPL Fellow. Previously, Steltzner authored "The Right Kind of Crazy: A True Story of Teamwork, Leadership and High-Stakes Innovation" while working at Penguin Random House from 2013 to 2015. Steltzner earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Engineering Mechanics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Master’s Degree in Applied Mechanics from Caltech, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Mechanical Design from the University of California, Davis.
