Chris Owen

Hardware Quality Assurance Engineering Lead at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory

Chris Owen has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Chris started their career as a Quality Assurance Technician at GKN Sankey in 1975 and stayed there until 1981. From 1984 to 2000, Chris worked as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Gauss. Following that, they joined BAE Systems - JPL DSN Engineering Contract in 2000 as a Technical Writer, where they authored technical documentation for the NASA Deep Space Network. In 2005, Chris moved to JPL (NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory) and held various roles, including Senior Engineer and Program Manager for deep space network construction projects. Chris is currently serving as the Hardware Quality Assurance Engineering Lead at JPL.

Chris Owen attended Walker Technical College from 1975 to 1979, where they obtained an HNC degree in Mechanical Engineering.
