Aaron Decker is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in safety, mission assurance, and quality management within aerospace and manufacturing sectors. Currently serving as the Mars Sample Return Program Chief Safety & Mission Assurance Officer at NASA, Aaron oversees critical safety and quality activities for the Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle and the Artemis program. Previous roles at NASA include Orion Program Quality Manager and EVA Flight Operations Engineer, where Aaron contributed to significant space missions and astronaut training. Prior to NASA, Aaron worked at the United States Mint as a Process Engineer and Division Chief, implementing Lean Six Sigma initiatives, and at Trane as a Product and Reliability Engineer. Aaron earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
