Benjamin Rupp, PE, has a diverse background in materials science and engineering, with significant experience in various sectors, including academia, aerospace, and manufacturing. Rupp began as a Student and Lab Assistant at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, where contributions to metallic thin-films fatigue research led to published findings. As a Process Metallurgist at Nucor Corporation, optimization of thin slab casting processes was achieved. In subsequent roles at Gallatin Steel Company and SKF Group, technical expertise was applied to enhance metallurgical processes and certifications, leading a Special Process Team to address diverse quality and improvement initiatives. Rupp took on leadership responsibilities as Team Lead for Materials Science and Metallurgy at Jacobs, supporting the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, and is currently serving as an Aerospace Engineer at NASA.
