Chuck Smith

Chuck Smith has extensive experience in aerospace engineering and management, currently serving as the Chief of Retirement Services at Smith Family Enterprises since August 2015, while simultaneously holding the position of Assistant Manager for Technical Operations in the Exploration Systems Development Division at NASA since November 2012. Smith has previously worked as Chief Engineer in the Exploration Systems Development Division at NASA Headquarters, overseeing the development of next-generation human exploration systems, and has contributed vital expertise at NASA Ames Research Center in various leadership roles, including Chief of the Entry Systems and Technology Division and Chief of the Space Technology Division. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Stanford University and a B.S.E. in Aero/Astro Engineering from the University of Michigan.
