Daniel O'Neil

Technical Management

Daniel O'Neil, Ph.D., has extensive experience in technical management and systems engineering, primarily with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) since 1991. Key contributions include developing web-based space mission visualizations, managing the Advanced Technology Life-cycle Analysis System (ATLAS) project, and directing the Virtual Research Center (VRC), an early collaborative web environment. O'Neil's background also includes roles as a systems engineer at the United States Army Strategic Defense Command and as a software developer at The Boeing Company, where significant work involved simulation software for military applications. O'Neil holds a Ph.D. in Modeling and Simulation, along with a Master’s in Engineering Management and a Bachelor’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering, all from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
