David Borges is an experienced professional in systems engineering and physical science, currently serving as the Director of the CEOS Systems Engineering Office at NASA since January 2017. Prior to this role, David held several positions at NASA, including Associate Program Manager for the NASA Disasters Program and Deputy of the CEOS Systems Engineering Office. David's career also includes experience as an Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton and a Geospatial Analyst at Atkins. David began his career as a Technical GIS Intern at PBS&J Engineering and worked as a Hang Glider Instructor at Kitty Hawk Kites Kiteboarding Resort. David holds a Master of Science in Data Science and a Bachelor of Science in Geography with a focus on Geographic Information Science, both from Old Dominion University.
