John McManamen

John McManamen is the Chief Engineer for the Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate and the Moon-to-Mars Program at NASA, a role they have held since 2023. They previously served as Chief Engineer for the Human Exploration and Operations Mission Directorate from 2015 to 2025 and for the Space Shuttle Program from 2007 to 2011, among other positions within NASA. McManamen earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder between 1983 and 1986. Their extensive experience showcases a dedicated career in aerospace engineering and leadership within NASA.
