Jon Shearer

Jon Shearer currently serves as the NASA Russia Representative at NASA, responsible for coordinating programs and interests in the Russian Federation. Previously, Jon was a Principal at Black Sea Logistics LLC, where they offered consulting services and engaged in real estate investment. Jon has extensive experience with the U.S. Department of Energy, holding roles such as Director of the European Regional Office and Liaison Officer to the United States Special Operations Command. A retired Lieutenant Colonel from the United States Marine Corps, Jon oversaw military operations in various high-stress environments and served in key positions at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow. Jon is studying Russian Studies at the Defense Language Institute and has attended the Air Intercept Control Course at the Navy Fighter Weapons School.
