Jonathan Morgan

Aerospace Engineer

Jonathan Morgan is an experienced Aerospace Engineer currently working at NASA as the Arc Jet Principal Investigator since March 2020, where technical leadership is provided in designing testing campaigns for thermal protection systems. Previously, Jonathan worked at Analytical Mechanics Associates, contributing as a Systems Engineer and Intern to the EM-1 Orion Project, and also completed a Graduate Research Assistant role at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, performing simulations for CubeSat atmospheric reentry. Additional experience includes an engineering internship developing a graphical user interface for radiation code and a role at Los Alamos National Laboratory focused on high-vacuum systems. Jonathan holds a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of New Mexico, complemented by a C++ Programming certification from Udacity.
