Marcus Johnson

Deputy PM, UAS Traffic Management at NASA

Marcus Johnson is a Deputy PM for UAS Traffic Management at NASA. Marcus has also worked as a Flight Controls Engineer 2 for TYBRIN Corporation and at the NASA Ames Research Center. Marcus has developed, implemented, and flight tested intelligent adaptive control techniques on a full scale research F-18 (NASA F/A-18 #853). Marcus has also developed Simulink models with adaptive controllers to analyze stability, performance, robustness and handling qualities metrics. Marcus has interfaced with NASA engineers and test pilots to improve designs, and they have also designed flight test experiments and supported flight safety board and airworthiness approval processes.

Marcus Johnson has a doctorate in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Florida. Marcus also has a master's degree and a bachelor's degree in the same field from the University of Florida. Marcus Johnson also has a certification from the Federal Aviation Administration in UAS Remote Pilot Certificate.
