Ryan Watkins

Ryan Watkins is a Program Scientist at NASA's Exploration Science Strategy and Integration Office since January 2021, with an extensive background in lunar research and analysis. Previous roles include Research Scientist at the Planetary Science Institute, where research focused on boulder distributions at lunar landing sites, and a consultant for the Blue Moon Science Advisory Board at Blue Origin. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. and a Master of Arts in Earth and Planetary Science from Washington University in St. Louis, along with a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Space Science from the Florida Institute of Technology. Additional experiences include positions as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and Graduate Student Researcher, with significant work on lunar surface studies utilizing photometry and LROC images, and various internships at NASA centers and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
