Scott Vangen possesses extensive experience at NASA, spanning from October 1990 to December 2019, with roles such as the NASA/Kennedy Space Center Docent, where Vangen engaged with the public on space history, and served in various engineering and leadership positions, including Payload Checkout Unit Hardware Systems Lead and Division Chief of Future Missions & International Partner Interfaces. Subsequent to NASA, Vangen has been the Project Lead for the Astro Restoration Project since October 2019, focused on restoring the Space Shuttle Spacelab Astro-1 and Astro-2 for public display.
