Thomas A. Cwik

Tom Cwik is an accomplished Chief Technologist at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where a distinguished career spans over three decades, beginning in May 1988. Notable roles include managing the Ocean Worlds Program, focusing on the exploration of extraterrestrial oceans and their potential for harboring life. Cwik has also led the Space Technology Office, ensuring alignment among various stakeholders to enhance mission impact. Additional positions held include Manager of Space Technology Development and Associate Chief Technologist. Furthermore, Cwik serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Washington and previously held a Postdoctoral Fellow position at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Cwik earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign between 1982 and 1986.
