Angela Fiege

Angela Fiege has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Angela started their career in 1986 as a Patient Care Manager and Staff Nurse at Methodist Hospital of Indiana Inc. In 1987, they transitioned to becoming a Flight Nurse at the same hospital and continued in that role until 2006. During this time, they also served as an Adjunct Faculty at Butler University from 1996 to 2000. Angela then joined Indiana University Health in 2006 as a Staff Physician and Adjunct Faculty. Their responsibilities also included serving as the INDYCAR On Track Physician. In 2014, Angela founded Rachael's First Week. Angela then moved on to work at NASCAR in 2015 where they held the position of Physician Medical Consultant. In 2017, they became the Medical Director for the NASCAR/AMR Track Safety Team and AMR Motorsports Event Team. The end dates for their most recent roles are not provided, suggesting that Angela is still actively engaged in their profession.

Angela Fiege completed their Bachelor of Applied Science in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Indiana University Indianapolis between 1980 and 1985. Angela later pursued a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Indiana University School of Medicine from 2000 to 2005. Angela also completed an Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Indiana University School of Medicine from 2005 to 2008. Additionally, they undertook a Fellowship in multidisciplinary critical care medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine between 2008 and 2009. Prior to their medical education, they attended Purdue University from 1977 to 1980, where they studied Biomedical/Medical Engineering.
