National Sales Manager at Nascent Surgical

Gary Haugen has worked in the medical device industry since 1982. Gary began their career as a Sales Representative for Medtronic, where they sold implantable electrical devices to physicians and hospitals in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Southwest, Northern and rural Minnesota and South Dakota. Gary grew the territory to $4M+ and consistently met or exceeded annual sales goals. In 1998, they were one of the first sales representatives recruited to sell implantable heart pacemakers, defibrillators and Holter monitoring systems for ELA Medical LLC, where they grew the business 290%. Gary then worked as a Senior Account Manager for Enova Medical Technologies, where they sold contract manufacturing services including design, engineering, prototyping, packaging design, and validation, complex assembly, packaging, labeling, and sterilization and warehousing for medical device corporations in the upper Midwest. In 2005, they moved to Life Systems and Instrumentation Corp, where they sold a wide variety of general surgical, vascular and laparoscopic instruments, vascular access catheters and vascular graphs to vascular and heart surgeons, and radiologists in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and Western Wisconsin. From 2010 to 2012, they worked as a Technical Sales Consultant for GH Haugen and Associates, where they designed, developed and manufactured a minimally invasive medical device instrument for the use in ambulatory phlebectomy. Gary also re-engineered instruments in various sizes of surgical grade stainless steel resulting in minimizing collateral tissue damage and resulting in more efficient removal of symptomatic venous varicosities. Gary then built excellent business relationships and worked directly with the surgeons of Vascular Surgery at Park Nicollet Heart and Vascular Center where the performance of the hooks have become the standard for their surgical practice and other satellite clinics in the Midwest. In 2012, they began working as National Sales Manager for Nascent Surgical.

Gary Haugen obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) from St. Cloud State University between 1966 and 1970. Gary also attended the University of Minnesota for Health Sciences.
