Steve Haruch

Steve Haruch is an accomplished writer and producer with extensive experience in journalism and media. Currently serving as Senior Producer at Nashville Banner since January 2024, Steve has a diverse portfolio as a freelance writer and producer since October 2014, contributing to esteemed publications such as The New York Times, The Atlantic, NPR's Code Switch, and The Guardian. Steve played a pivotal role as the founding Senior Producer of Nashville Public Radio's daily show This Is Nashville from October 2021 to September 2023. Prior roles include Marketing and Communications Manager at Parnassus Books and various editorial positions at Nashville Scene. Steve holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Additionally, Steve has edited notable books published by Vanderbilt University Press and worked as an independent film producer and consultant.
