Resident Lighting Designer & Scenic Designer at Nashville Children's Theatre

Scott Leathers is a seasoned lighting designer and scenic designer with extensive experience in the performing arts, primarily within children's and ballet theatre. Serving as the Resident Lighting Designer and Scenic Designer at Nashville Children's Theatre since 2002, Scott previously held the role of Resident Lighting Designer at Nashville Ballet for over three decades, where over 95% of the ballets were designed. Scott's diverse background includes positions at Kentucky Repertory Theatre, Chattanooga Symphony & Opera, Tennessee Performing Arts Center, American Negro Playwright Theatre, and Cumberland County Playhouse, demonstrating expertise in lighting design, production management, and technical direction. A member of United Scenic Artists, Scott is also a co-founder of the MCVUG Vectorworks User Group in Nashville. Scott holds a BFA in Technical Theatre from Santa Fe University of Art and Design.
