Shawn Knight

Shawn Knight is an accomplished professional in the performing arts and academia, serving as an Assistant Professor and Instructor at Belmont University since 2005. Knight has extensive acting experience, with ongoing roles at Kentucky Repertory Theatre and Nashville Children's Theatre, along with self-employed acting ventures. Knight also contributed as Playwright-in-Residence at Tennessee Repertory Theatre for a brief period in 2010. Previous internships and acting positions at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park and Synchronicity Theatre further enhance Knight's artistic portfolio. Knight holds a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance from the University of Louisville, a Master's in English Language and Literature from Auburn University, and a Bachelor's degree in English and Theatre from Belmont University, where participation in the Honors Program was noted.
