Kendra Cox

Kendra Cox is currently the Preschool Director at Nashville Christian School. Prior to that, they were the Assistant Director at Southgate Childrens Academy from December 2014 to May 2020. In that role, they handled the day to day operations of the childcare center, was responsible for hiring and training new employees, developing curriculum and trainings, and helped with overall management duties and issues. From September 2013 to August 2014, Kendra was the FRC Assistant Coordinator at Jessamine Early Learning Village where they assisted in daily operations of the Family Resource Center. Kendra also assisted families in resource referrals for utility assistance, food assistance, clothing assistance, housing asssistance, counseling needs, and more. In addition, they coordinated the volunteer program, the backpack and snacks program, and the holiday assistance program. Kendra also wrote a grant for Community Early Childhood Council and participated in Interagency and Advisory Councils. Kendra's previous role was Case Manager at Bluegrass Regional MH-MR from October 2010 to June 2012.

Kendra Cox holds a Master's degree in Social Work from Asbury University and a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Kentucky Christian University. Kendra is also certified by the Tennessee Board of Education in School Social Work License.

Kendra Cox works with Jeff Brothers - Director of Operations, Jeff Fincher - Chief Development Officer, and Anissa Demonbreun - Head of Middle School. Kendra Cox reports to Connie Jo Shelton, Head of School.
