Courtney Corcoran Walsh is a dedicated educator with extensive experience in teaching and school administration. Currently serving as a 5th Grade ELA/Humanities Teacher at Nashville Classical Charter School since July 2025, Courtney has previously held multiple roles at KIPP Nashville from July 2015 to July 2025, including Assistant Principal, RTI Coordinator and Interventionist, and both Third and First Grade Teacher. Earlier career experiences include teaching Kindergarten and First Grade at Harlem Village Academies from July 2013 to June 2015, and serving as a Second Grade Teacher at KIPP Houston from August 2010 to June 2013. Courtney began the education journey as a Corps Member with Teach For America Houston in 2010. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Relay Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Science in Human and Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University. Additional experience includes internships and roles in childcare and colleague development.

Nashville Classical Charter School

Nashville Classical Charter Schools educate a diverse community of K-8 scholars through a joyful, rigorous curriculum and within a structured, intentional culture, building a foundation of knowledge and habits for high school, college, and life. Our flagship school, Nashville Classical East, opened in 2013 and is a 2022 Tennessee Reward School. Our newest school, Nashville Classical West, will open with Kindergarten in August 2023 and then add 6th grade in August 2024. Over the next five years, we will double our impact, growing to educate more than 1,000 scholars per year.
