Chris Combest, D.M.A., serves as an Associate Professor of Music at Middle Tennessee State University since August 2016. In addition, Chris Combest has been a Tuba Artist for Buffet Crampon since May 2015. Prior experience includes roles as an Applied Brass Specialist at Rockwall ISD, where instruction was provided to over 85 students in the east DFW area from August 2014 to July 2016, as well as principal tuba positions with the Louisville Orchestra and The Victoria Symphony. Teaching credentials also include lecturer positions in tuba and euphonium at The University of Texas at San Antonio and Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Chris Combest holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Performance Literature and Music Pedagogy from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a Master of Music from the University of Louisville, and a Bachelor of Music from Eastern Kentucky University.
