Joy Flores has a diverse work experience spanning various positions and industries. Joy has worked as the Vice President of Ministries at Nashville Rescue Mission since 2023. Prior to that, they held the role of Vice President of Programs & Operations at Union Rescue Mission - Los Angeles from 2019 to 2023. In 2007, Joy became the Co-Owner of Consumer Heaven LLC, where they focused on freight recovery specialist services. From 2015 to 2019, they served as the Pastor of Local Outreach at Fellowship. Additionally, Joy has held positions such as Advisory Board Chairman at San Marino Community Church Nursery School, Adoption Support Group Facilitator at Kinship Center, Bus Pastor at Los Angeles Dream Center, and Boat Driver at Yosemite Sierra Summer Camp. Joy also gained experience as an Artist Assistant at Eva Margueriette Art Studio.

Joy Flores attended California State Polytechnic University-Pomona from 2001 to 2003, where they studied Kinesiology and Exercise Science with a focus on Athletic Training. Joy then transferred to Azusa Pacific University and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Youth Ministry from 2003 to 2005. Finally, they went on to obtain a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Counseling from Azusa Pacific University in 2005 to 2006.
