Whitney Michael has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Whitney began their career in 2013 as a Server and Hostess at Joe Willy's Burger Bar. In 2014, they worked as a Front Desk Assistant at Johnson & Wales University - Arts & Sciences Department. Whitney then gained experience in the hospitality industry by working as a Food and Beverage Intern at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in 2015. Whitney also worked briefly as a Banquet Attendant at Augusta National Golf Club in the same year.
In 2016, Whitney had multiple roles. Whitney worked as an Event Operations Intern at Marriott Hotels and simultaneously served as a Bridal Concierge and DJ Assistant at Split Second Sound. In 2017, they joined Gaylord Opryland Resort as an Event Operations Voyager and later transitioned into the role of Special Event Manager in 2018.
During 2020, Whitney briefly worked as a Front of House Director at Chick-fil-A. Most recently, they joined Nashville Zoo in 2022 as the Director of Events.
Whitney Michael attended Johnson & Wales University from 2014 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Hotel and Lodging Management.

Nashville Zoo at Grassmere is a 188-acre institution accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) whose mission is to inspire a culture of understanding and discovery of our natural world through conservation, innovation and leadership. Located in the heart of Nashville, the zoo has an extensive animal collection within its current 88 acres of developed exhibits. The Zoo attracts more than one million visitors annually as well as serving a diverse community through outreach programs within greater Nashville and mid-Tennessee.
