Gerben Roffel

Gerben Roffel is an experienced legal professional currently serving as the Global Head of Ethics and Compliance and Chief HR and Employment Counsel at Prosus Group since September 2019. With a comprehensive background in legal counsel spanning multiple roles, including Legal Director Corporate (HR) and Group Senior Legal Counsel, Gerben has contributed significantly to one of the largest technology investors internationally. Prior to Prosus, Gerben held several positions at Naspers Limited and Watts Water Technologies, and gained valuable experience as a lawyer at Stibbe and Hogan Lovells, specializing in Employment, Pensions, and Incentives. Education includes a Master of Science in Dutch Law from the University of Groningen and certification as a Pension Lawyer from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Gerben also volunteered at Macheo Children's Centre in Kenya, gaining a unique perspective outside the legal realm.
