Wayne Benn serves as the Head of Legal for M&A at Prosus Group and Naspers Group since September 2019, overseeing legal matters during Prosus's listing on Euronext Amsterdam. With experience at Naspers Group since August 2011 as Head of Legal - M&A and General Counsel for India and Southeast Asia, Wayne Benn has also held the position of Head of Legal at MIH Internet Africa & Middle East from December 2008 to August 2011 and GM of Business Development at MWEB from August 2006 to September 2010, focusing on acquisitions in Africa. Earlier, Wayne Benn was a Partner at Edward Nathan Sonnenbergs from July 2000 to July 2006 in the Corporate & Commercial Department, leading the Information Technology and IP Commercialisation units. Wayne Benn holds an LLB from the University of South Africa and a Bachelor of Commerce in Law & Business Economics from the University of the Witwatersrand.
