Alex C. Maccaro is an experienced professional in the field of art curation and research, currently serving as Assistant Curator at the Nassau County Museum of Art since November 2019. In this role, Alex collaborates with the museum director and Deputy Director on exhibition planning and catalogue essay research. Previously, Alex held the position of Curatorial Researcher and interned at the same museum, gaining extensive experience in various departments. Additionally, Alex interned at the Hispanic Society of America, focusing on collection database entry and provenance research. An academic background includes a Master of Arts in Art History from Hunter College and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Adelphi University, where Alex also contributed as an undergraduate research fellow. Early experiences include tutoring roles and a summer internship at Theodore Roosevelt Elementary School.
