Vernon Young has extensive experience in risk management. Vernon currently holds the position of Chief Risk Officer at Nassau Financial Group, a role they have held since August 2016. Prior to this, they served as Chief Risk Officer at Front Street Re, Ltd. from March 2013 to February 2016. Vernon also worked as Vice President of Risk Management at GE Capital from November 2010 to March 2013, and at GE Capital - Energy Financial Services from May 2006 to November 2010. Before joining GE Capital, they were a Manager in Strategy, Mergers, Acquisitions & Joint Ventures at United Technologies from June 2003 to April 2006. Vernon started their career as a Senior Associate at Deloitte & Touche, LLP from September 1997 to June 2001.

Vernon Young pursued their educational journey with dedication and determination. In 1994, they enrolled in North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, where they studied Accounting. Vernon diligently studied for three years and successfully completed their bachelor's degree in 1997.

Motivated by a thirst for knowledge and growth, Vernon Young decided to further enhance their expertise in the field of Finance. In 2001, they enrolled at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. Over the course of two years, from 2001 to 2003, Vernon Young immersed himself in their studies, ultimately earning a prestigious Master's in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Finance.

Vernon Young's educational history reflects their passion for expanding their knowledge and honing their skills. Through their Bachelor of Science degree from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and their MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, they have fortified their foundation in Accounting and Finance, respectively.
